ПРО АВТОРА
Юрій Мирослав Левицький отримав ступінь доктора
філософії (PhD) в слов'янських студіях на Монреальському
ніверситеті 1961 року (“Лексичніканадизми в мовіукраїнців
Монре-аля”) і був лектором українськоїмови на цьому
університеті від 1951 до 1964 року.
Він є автором "Мови світу: енциклопедичний довідник" (Львів, 1998)
і численних книжок, статей і памфлетів з історії Київської Церкви
і Української Греко-Католицької Церкви в Україні. Він є
членом-кореспондентом Наукового Товариства
ім. Тараса Шевченка.
Д-р Левицький народився в Україні 1923 року. Тепер уже
на пенсії і живе в Монреалі, Квебек
(Канада).
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jurij Myroslaw Lewyckyj received his PhD in Slavic Studies from the Université de Montréal in
1961 (“Les canadianismes lexicaux dans la langue des Ukrainiens de Montrél,” Université de
Montréal, 1961, 400 pages) and was a lecturer in the Ukrainian language at the Université de
Montréal from 1951 to 1964.
He is the author of
Languages of the World: An Encyclopedic Directory (Lviv 1998, in Ukrainian)and of numerous books, articles, and pamphlets on the history of the Kievan Chruch and the
Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ukraine. He is a member of the Ukrainian Scientific Society of Taras
Shevchenko.
Dr. Lewyckyj was born in Ukraine in 1923. He has retired and lives in Montréal, Québec.
